Train Station

Train Station

Since 1867 there has been an Eppelsheim station on the railway line between Alzey and Worms. From here people from Eppelsheim and the neighbouring villages have had the opportunity to get to their work places in Alzey/Mainz and Worms/Mannheim-Ludwigshafen.
In 2000 the platforms and the surroundings of the station were newly laid out by the municipality of Alzey-Land with grants from the State of Rhineland-Palatinate. A park + ride car park, two bicycle stands, two waiting rooms and a new bus stop were built.
With the "Rheinland-Pfalz-Takt" German Rail offers connections in both directions every hour. The train is mainly used by students from Eppelsheim and the neighbouring villages to get to the secondary schools in Alzey.
